yea, sweeter than honey to my mouth."

The Tender Mercies of the Lord
(1 Nephi 1:20)

But behold, I, Nephi, will show unto you that the tender mercies of the Lord are over all those whom he hath chosen, because of their faith, to make them mighty even unto the power of deliverance (1 Nephi 1:20).
The Lord is good to all: and his tender mercies are over all his works (Psalm 145:9).
The Lord's tender mercies are the very personal and individualized blessings, strength, protection, assurances, guidance, loving-kindnesses, consolation, support, and spiritual gifts which we receive from and because of and through the Lord Jesus Christ.
            ~Elder David A. Bednar (April 2005)
How have you experienced the tender mercies of the Lord?

Introduction

I'm excited about this opportunity to read the Book of Mormon in a different way than I've done before. I love the idea of reading as a community, and I'm eager to see what thoughts and insights are shared on the challenge blog. I also like the format of the reading schedule, especially the quotes and questions.

I have read the Book of Mormon many times, and this time I want to focus on learning how to become a better disciple of Jesus. For me the goal of this project is to find the peace and joy that come through Jesus Christ.
